# Pay By Link

> The Pay by Link feature allows businesses to generate secure payment links and share them via email, SMS, or chat. It is an efficient solution for collecting payments without the need for a complete online storefront.

## **How Pay by Link Works**

**Generate Link:** Add items in the card and create a unique payment link in the gateway with transaction details like amount and currency.

**Share with Customers:** Send the link via email, SMS, or messaging platforms.

**Secure Payment:** Customers complete the transaction on the HPP page.

**Payment Invoice:** Send payment completion invoice to the cardholder after successful completion of the payment.

## **Getting Started with Pay by Link**

  <Step title="Generate the Payment Link">
    * Merchants log into the payment gateway and create a unique payment link.

    * Customize the link with transaction details such as:

      * Enter Payment amount.

      * Select currency.

      * Mention expiration date or validity period.

    The generated payment link is shared with customers through various channels, including:

    * Email: Attach the link with invoices or messages.

    * SMS: Send directly to the customers phone.

    * Chat Platforms: Share on WhatsApp, social media messengers, or other communication tools.

  <Step title="Customer Accesses the Link">
    Customers click the link, which redirects them to Hosted Payment Page (HPP).

  <Step title="Customer Completes the Payment">
    * On the payment page, card holder enter their payment details (e.g., card information or digital wallet credentials).

    * Customer Completes the Payment

    * Payments are processed securely in real time.

    * Once the payment is processed, both the merchant and the customer receive a confirmation.

    * Merchants can track the status of the payment through their gateway dashboard.

## **How Customers Use Pay by Link**
